Know the limits
- Not flame resistant. Do not wear near open flame, sparks, welding or other hot work.
- Rated for light spray and low-volume splash, not pressurized jets, heavy saturation or chemical immersion.
- Film fabrics hold more heat than SMS. For hot attics and long shifts, consider the Vent Coverall.
- A coverall is one part of your PPE. Choose respirators, gloves and eye protection for the specific hazard.
Microporous coverall FAQ
What's the difference between microporous and SMS coveralls?
Microporous coveralls have a film layer that blocks light liquid splash as well as fine particulate. SMS is a three-layer nonwoven with no film. It breathes better and is a strong choice for dry dust, but it isn't the right suit where liquid is involved.
Is the microporous coverall certified?
Yes. It holds an EU type-examination certificate as Category III protective clothing: Type 5 (EN ISO 13982-1) and Type 6 (EN 13034), with antistatic properties to EN 1149-5. Documentation is available to buyers on request.
Can I get it with attached boots?
Yes. We stock it both ways: with attached boots, and with elastic ankles for crews who wear separate boot covers or work boots.
